Hickory Stick Golf Club Announces Grand Opening Of New Restaurant, The Haven At Hickory Stick, And Over 3M In Clubhouse and Course Enhancements

[Greenwood, IN] – Hickory Stick Golf Club announces significant facility and course enhancements with the unveiling of The Haven at Hickory Stick, a new dining destination open daily to the public.  A Community Day & Grand Opening celebration will be held on April 27, 2024, from 1-4pm to showcase the extensive investments in the facility with fun-filled activities for the community to come out and enjoy.

The modernization of the golf club represents an exciting development for both golfers and diners alike. Since the acquisition of the business in March 2022, Hickory Stick has embarked on a journey of transformation, partnering with SCS Construction Services, a full-service commercial construction company based in downtown Greenwood, Indiana, to oversee and execute the construction process.

A highlight of the property’s 7000 sq ft interior transformation is the addition of The Haven at Hickory Stick, a fine/casual restaurant with bar and golfer’s lounge, offering a diverse menu in a relaxed setting.  The restaurant represents a significant expansion of the club’s dining facilities, allowing for increased capacity and hosting of intimate events. The restaurant boasts a new state-of-the-art kitchen with custom MEP design (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) tailored for optimal functionality and efficiency in food preparation. The construction of a new bar and golfers lounge, capable of accommodating over 100 families, allows the club to now cater to the needs of both golfers and community visitors. The clubhouse and pro shop have also been completely transformed with new fixtures and custom displays, providing access to a wider range of merchandise and enhanced shopping experience. The installation of polished concrete flooring, modern lighting and the incorporation of custom interior finishes throughout the space were designed to improve the quality, functionality and durability of the club. Extensive upgrades to the exterior include a new canopy and patio area with seasonal outdoor dining options and a walk up snack bar window. The clubhouse also received a full exterior renovation including new siding, roofing, windows, lighting, HVAC and Electrical, and glass doors entrances.

Course upgrades include bunker renovations, a significantly increased maintenance budget fostering better playing conditions, cart path repair, and irrigation technology, all aimed at enhancing the golfer’s experience. Additionally, the club introduced an indoor golf simulator, winter practice facilities and comprehensive golf instruction for players of all levels, offering year-round skill improvement options. Further investments include a new fleet of E-Z-GO golf carts equipped with GPS technology, providing cutting edge fleet management tools seamless golfing experience efficiency while on the course.

Partnerships with the local community have been established; the course is now home to the Center Grove Golf Team and Fox 59 Weather cameras.
