Scott Kennell has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. SCS began operations in 2005. Prior to SCS, Scott spent nearly 20 years with the 8th largest general contractor in the United States working on notable projects such as Ritz Carlton Hotel—Aspen, Denver International Airport and the reconstruction of Mount Rushmore guest services. After moving back to Indiana, he spent four years with a local general contractor. With his experience, hard work, determination to succeed, and the help of outstanding employees, Scott has successfully built this company from the ground up.

TAYLOR KENNELL

TAYLOR KENNELL

Vice President

Taylor began his career with SCS Construction in 2016 after working as an account executive in the risk management industry. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2014 with a BBA in Risk Management & Insurance.

Taylor’s experience has been a fast track program including construction administration, field supervision, estimating and project management experience. Over the past 3 years managed many tenant improvement & renovation projects including concrete and institutional type as a superintendent, project engineer & project manager.

On daily basis he’s heavily involved in business development and marketing. In 2022, he was promoted to Vice President.

Education and Memberships:

➢ Founding Chairmen of Overdose Life Golf Outing (Since 2015) Raised over $250,000 to date for ODL

DALE BURTNER

DALE BURTNER

Controller + HR Manager

Dale Burtner has over 29 years of experience in the accounting and finance industry. Dale started his career as a full charge bookkeeper and through hard work and determination held the position of US Manager of Finance and Administration for eleven years and US Board of Director for 10 years of a 47 statewide company. Dale has been instrumental in the training and development of many employees in many fields, including accounting, finance, information technology, procurement, payroll, human resources, system managements, inventory, and contract administration. Dale has a passion leading small to medium companies through the growth challenges to become larger and more profitable companies.

WES KENNELL

WES KENNELL

Project Engineer

Wes Kennell began his career with Kiewit – Mass Electric Construction Co. in 2018. He spent 3 years in Seattle, Washington years as a project engineer building signaling and communication systems on a $360 million expansion to the Northgate and Eastlink Light Rail Systems. Along with project engineering duties, he was also appointed the Project Environmental Coordinator position to ensure the company followed all EPA guidelines for material handling and waste. While in college at Purdue University, he completed three internships. He spent the summers of 2015 and 2016 as a project engineer intern and framer with SCS. In 2017, he interned with Mass Electric Construction Co. in Dallas, Texas gaining experience with their business development and estimating teams. In January of 2021, he returned to SCS as a project engineer handling multiple projects with a focus on streamlining company processes through Procore.

➢ B.S. Degree in Building Construction Management from Purdue University

➢ Sigma Lambda Chi International Construction Honor Society

➢ OSHA 30 Hour Certification
